Chasing Waterfalls: A List of a Cataractophile’s Favorite

Adopt the pace of nature. Are you a cataractophile (a person who loves waterfalls or any free flowing body of water)?

A waterfall is a white, frothy cascade of water falling into a plunge pool, rocky outcroppings, lichen, moss, slippery rock, lush grasses, plants and flowers, mist, spray, rainbows, ripples, droplets, trees clinging to cliffs.

I have a special fascination towards waterfalls. Waterfalls, to me, stimulate the senses.

The way the water falls, looks so free, easy, and inevitable. There is no pattern, and even though our eyes constantly search for patterns in everything, we will never really find one in a waterfall. The burbling of a waterfall captures both the movement of the water and the sound it makes as it moves.

Unleash the cataractophile in you and explore the wonders of these Philippine waterfalls that I find beautiful and fascinating and refreshing. Here is a quick list.
