Giving Wildflour Baguio a try required a bit of cautious optimism on my part. To be completelybhonest, my history with their BGC store back in the day left a lot to be desired—mostly due to inconsistent experiences and overwhelming crowds. However, hearing whispers about the stunning architecture of their new highland branch piqued my curiosity enough to warrant a fresh second chance in the City of Pines.

Located right across SM City Baguio’s main entrance, the restaurant is impossible to miss, and for all the right reasons. The location and exterior aesthetics are undeniably gorgeous. Featuring a striking blend of warm glass and rich wood materials, its distinct A-shape or teepee-like design commands attention against the cool, misty Baguio backdrop. Stepping inside, the interior architecture mirrors this rustic yet modern charm, making it a visual masterpiece that immediately draws you in.

First Impressions: Ambience and Atmosphere
There is no denying that Wildflour Baguio has mastered the art of spatial design. The high ceilings amplify the feeling of openness and luxury, while the natural wood tones infuse a cozy, cabin-like warmth that feels right at home in the mountains. It is a stunning space—undeniably one of the most
photogenic dining spots to open in the city recently. If you are looking for a place to soak in the relaxed highland vibe while sipping a warm drink, the atmosphere alone makes it a compelling destination to hang out with friends or family.
Quick Note on Pricing: Just like its Manila counterparts, dining here comes with a distinct luxury markup. Prices lean heavily toward the expensive side, so coming in with expectations aligned with fine casual dining budgets is recommended.

The Brunch Spread: Drinks and Pastries
Since it was peak brunch time when I arrived, my cravings leaned toward comforting morning favorites. I opted to start with their matcha latte priced at Php 250. It genuinely hit the spot. Unlike overly sweetened commercial matcha drinks that taste more like sugar syrup, this version delivered an authentic ceremonial vegetal and earthy flavor profile that true matcha enthusiasts will deeply appreciate.

To accompany the drink, I ordered their popular cremadettes (Php 170). These pastries come with three different fillings to choose from: caramel, nutella, and cream cheese. I decided to go for the caramel variant. Taste-wise, it was decent and adequately sweet. However, structurally, it left me wishing for better execution. I understand that this is meant to be a delicate, crackling puff pastry; however, I felt it was way too flaky. The pastry completely lost its structural integrity upon the first bite, becoming overly fragile, messy, and crumbly to eat without making a complete disaster on the plate.

Savory Plates: The Miso-Glazed Eggplant Salad
Moving on to the savory side of the menu, I encountered a slight dilemma. I knew that Wildflou features two kinds of eggplant salads on their conceptual radar, and I was initially leaning toward the version that comes with mango. Unfortunately, it wasn’t available on their menu. Pivoting to their alternative, I went instead for the miso-glazed eggplant salad (Php530) —an intriguing, albeit rather pricey, plate that certainly commands attention.

The dish features a miso-and-honey-glazed roasted and flash-fried crispy eggplant served alongside fresh greens, mushrooms, kimchi, canola seeds, sunflower seeds, and a nutty sesame seed dressing. The glazed eggplant itself, combined with the crunch of the seeds, was pretty good, with the fresh lettuce providing a pleasant balance to the rich, sweet and savory glaze. However, the kimchi component felt completely out of place and was ultimately a letdown. Not because it is not harmonizing with the nutty, earthy undertones of the rest of the bowl, but the taste itself isn’t satisfying (well at least for me as a kimchi fan).

Final Verdict on Wildflour Baguio
Overall, visiting Wildflour Baguio proved to be a mixed experience. It boasts a breathtaking architectural ambiance and serves as a lovely, vibrant spot to hang out in the chilly mountainvweather. That said, given that their price points are decidedly on the expensive side, I will definitely be much more selective with what I order next time. It is a wonderful space for coffee, ambiance, and specific hits like their matcha latte, but careful menu navigation is key to getting your money’s worth.
