I’ve been an absolute mess these past few days.
There is no glamorous way to put it, and I’m tired of pretending there is. Every morning, I wake up to a heavy, suffocating cloud of anxiety that seems to stick to my skin. My chest feels tight, my mind is a chaotic mess of worst-case scenarios, and I’m physically, emotionally, and mentally drained.

Life right now feels like a relentless tide of uncertainties. I’m consumed by the quiet terror of not knowing what comes next. Financial constraints keep me up at night, running numbers in my head until the sun comes up. And yet, despite how overwhelming it all is, I find myself unable to ask for help. Asking requires energy I simply don’t have. It requires vulnerability when I already feel like I’m walking around exposed, bruised, and completely defenseless. So, I keep it inside, letting the chaos build until I feel like I’m going to burst.
What hurts the most, though, is the loss of the little things.
I used to find solace in the stillness. But lately, there is no joy in slow mornings. Instead of breathing in the quiet, my mind races toward everything I’m failing to do. Quiet evenings don’t bring peace; they just bring a deafening silence where my fears grow louder. Meaningful conversations feel exhausting, and the simple, ordinary moments that used to make life feel sweet now pass by completely unnoticed. I’m physically present, but emotionally miles away, locked inside my own head.
I know the gentle truths people share. I know we don’t need to be extraordinary every single day for our lives to hold value. I know that simply surviving is sometimes enough, and that there is a quiet, understated beauty in just existing.

But damn it, life is heavy right now.
Knowing something in your head doesn’t automatically make your heart hurt any less. Knowing that “this too shall pass” doesn’t fix the aching exhaustion in my bones today. The reality is, I’m scared, I’m overwhelmed, and I genuinely don’t know what to do next. I don’t have a five-step plan to get out of this rut. I don’t have an inspiring takeaway or a neat little bow to tie around this feeling.
Maybe the only honest thing I can do right now is just sit in the mess. Maybe admitting that I’m broken down and lost is the first small step toward breathing again. I don’t have the answers today, and maybe that has to be okay. For now, I’m just here, taking it one heavy, uncertain breath at a time, hoping that tomorrow feels a tiny bit lighter.
