What do you love about where you live?

Most readers might find this answer unusual since it would veer away from describing the best attributes of a physical home or a place. At first, I thought of talking about how lovely it is to live in Baguio (but I remember writing about it and posting it sometime ago). So…

I love where I live now because my dogs are with me. I can’t imagine living in a place without them. They are my stress relievers, happy pills and reasons for living.

I love home because of my Story, my Poem, and my Adage. All 3 were my pandemic babies.
As the Covid pandemic comes to end, I was diagnosed with a life changing condition that made me depressed, hopeless, and helpless wherein most days I felt unheard and unloved. My three dogs were my solace.
During these tough times, my dogs have been looking after me. They have been giving me a reason to get up every day, to smile specially in moments where I find myself sobbing, staring blankly and randomly breaking down. Their goofiness and playful demeanor brought tiny moments of joy when that happy feeling was in short supply.
*”*Story and Poem are shihtzu. Adage on the other hand is a groenendael – malinois.
